I began research on my Cereghino genealogy in 2001. My
goal was to find as many descendants of Stefano Cereghino
(born about 1762) as I could find. Stefano is my 4th great-grandfather.
"The Cereghino Ballad Singers History and Genealogy" will
be published by December 2004. It will be a treasured
heirloom for all Cereghino ballad singer's descendants. I
encourage you to purchase a copy.
In 2003 the project grew, when my cousin, Jeanne
Boschi, offered to be the coordinator of the Favale South
American immigration. Jeanne is doing a great job writing the
South American and World-Wide cousins.
After the "The Cereghino Ballad Singers History and Genealogy" book
is published, Jeanne and I will begin a NEW project titled "The
FAVALE History and Genealogy". This project will include EVERYONE
that has ancestors from the Favale area. If you have
any questions or have information to contribute, you can email
me.

I became involved in
this project in August 2003 to help obtain biographies and
photos for the Cereghino book. As
Ginger and I talked, we decided to use my ability to read and
write Spanish to seek out our Favale descendants who
immigrated to South America. I sent out two different
mailings to over 50 people in Peru, Chile, and Argentina and
have found Favale descendants who are interested in their
ancestors.
If you are interested in getting involved or need help contacting
South American Favale cousins, please email me. We
have found South American cousins of many surnames who immigrated
from Favale. As the project grows, I would be
thankful for any help from other Favale cousins. |
